Video duration: 125 seconds

This is the first voyage with my third Sunfish. Every time I sold one I have regretted it, so I vow to keep this one until I'm too old to sail. This boat was built in 1971, but apparently was sailed very little because she is still in good condition. I am sailing on Howard Prairie Lake in southern Oregon. August, 2009.

Our four year old daughter saved a bird after it hit our window. She held it to keep it warm and quiet while it recovered from shock. Letting it go was hard for her, as she wanted to keep it as a pet. Deep down she knew it would have a happier life in the wild.
